Hello! I'm new here and I thoroughly enjoy your mod and it inspired me to try my hand at modding! Sadly, as far as I can find, modding resources and tutorials seem rare and hard to find. If I may ask, what program do you use to create new subs and whatnot? I've been using DWEdit, and while I have down a very basic idea of adding a new sub. I dunno how to export it to my game. If you know anything that can help me, I'd appreciate it!

Adding new sub is not easy in DW. If im correct there is no tools for this (DWedit is not enuogh) Its mainly work with hex editor. Making new sub can takes a months of hard work and tests. Im sure no one will sacrifice their own time for making new playable sub "for fun". Especially from anime serial - because nobody play DW "for fun" but for feeling real modern naval battle experience.
I think Cold Waters community is much closer idea of playing "for fun". Of course DW community is not only for ultra serious players but problem lays in wasting time on unusable things like fictional submarines - only for single player (because no one likes to play MP against fictional overpowered submarines) Im not programmer and im not a part of RA team but im mission designer and MP battles organizator. And i don't want to make missions or events with fictional submarines. For example in RA exist modiffied Typhoon class from movie "Hunt for Red October" and puting it into serious MP scenarios is debatable. I hope now you understand why your topic here and on Subsim forum are not answered Sorry if you are disapointedd but im sure my opinion is close to opinion of rest DW players. |

The course indicator window for the SS-N-3C missile has been removed (Missile remote control panel FCTarget Station).
The doctrine of the SS-N-3C, the algorithm for enable the missile radar was corrected. AIR torpedo AI - the impossibility of hitting the surfaced submarines eliminated. Sierra SSN – max torpedo launch depth unlocked. USNI DATE - OWN SHIP INFO - removed two entrances for sierra. USNI DATE - OWN SHIP INFO - Sierra: Weapon data corrected. The noise levels for UnderWater launch missiles have been fixed. (“UnderSea Missile Launch Detected” message) KH-65 ALCM User Air Launch missile, increased radar signature.

Juliett SSG - maneuverability and buoyancy were adjusted. Polish "Orzel" Kilo SS CLASS made driveable. USNI some data fixed.

Hi,
I installed the Sub Command update for SCX IIc on the Naval Combat Pack Version of Sub Command after installing SCX. After that Sub Command won't start. Is the Sub Command update for SCX IIc only compatible with original Electronic Arts version of Sub Command? I than changed the subcommand.exe with the one from original Naval Combat Pack install, then it runs . Does this have any I'll effects on the game? For what the subcommand.exe is needed in the Sub Command Update? Do I need it when I don't use SCU? |
