No mistake. Torpedo tubes of Victor series submarines allows you to launch torpedoes from a depth of 250 meters.

There is a proposal to increase this depth to the maximum depth of immersion of this sub.


If the launch depth should be above 250 meters - then this should be fixed on all victors of the series.

I agree. However, I propose to leave this limitation for the subs of the first series (Victor-I).

Is there a similar limitation for Western subs? Or should there be a limit to the speed at which they can fire a torpedo?

The peculiarity of torpedo tubes located side on-board (688 ssn21 etc) is that they do not allow shooting at speeds close to maximum. But the speed limit is not exactly known. It is possible to make a speed limit for subs with a side arrangement of torpedo tubes. But I repeat - the limit speed, is not exactly known.
