In my opinion, very good decision. More accurate historically and better for balancing MP missions from Cold War era.
THANK YOU |

Akula it is second type of "third generation" of soviet subs (after Sierra-type) and should be equipped with modern (1980-era) weapons like USET-80 torpedoes at least. Also, Akula-I does not have external tubes, only internal. I think, the best loadout for the Akula-I is next: 1. USET-80 (designed especially for new subs, VICTOR-III have it also, but older) 2. SHKVAL 3. Korund MG-74 (in internal tubes, because AKULA-I never been aquipped with external tubes) 4. Mines 5. Starfish ASW-rocket (both variants: nuclear and torpedo-equipped) 6. Sampson LAM 7. 65-76 8. Stallion ASW-rocket (designed in two variants: 1969(year) -version with APR-3 torpedos and 1984(year) - version with nuclear charge) 9. without any ASM missiles ( 533-mm caliber soviet anti ship missiles for submarines during 1980-era have not been created yet), but this question can be discussed for game-play purposes. if we need to fill all cells, we can add SET-65, TEST-71 or mine's from Victor's. My proposition for Akula I improved: - add CLUB SSM - rest like Akula I (with 65-67) Most of players in modern scenarios takes only Akula II or Akula III. Those versions don't need any changes (exceptions - remove 65-67) |

of course, Akula-s without old torpedoes like SAET-60M and Test-71-best variant for us.
i think, we dont need to delete 65-76 for gameplay from any akulas. obviously all akulas, exept Gepard and Chakra, need be equipped with 65-76. UGST only at Akula-II and newer |

The question about whether the Akula-I must has external tubes still actual. Half of the subs in this class have outer tubes, the other does not. What decision to choose - install a tubes or delete? I do not want to divide Akula-I class into 2 subclasses, with external tubes and without them. PS: Could be a vote to resolve this issue ? As you say the most votes - and will be done.

For me better is Akula I from very early design (without external tubes) because currently in RA, we have many similar to each other versions of Akulas. In other hand, Akula I with or without external tubes haven't great impact for balance (if only Korund allowed).
My vote: Akula I without external tubes K-284 was launched in 1984. Fourth of Akula I (K-420) was launched 5 years later and I do not know if she was from the beginning with external tubes. (Maybe it was later modernisation?) If in DW we have so many variants of Akula, I think we should to choose very early for Akula I and latest (with supersonic Sizzlers) for most sophisticated Akula III. |

Hi Crazy Ivan,
my suggestion is that Akula I, should not have external tubes. So for a mission designer the new RA will give a variety of choice. So in this case we could have: - early version of Akula I - more silent than Victors - better Akula I Improved - with external tubes and subsonic missiles - good Akula II - with ultimate supersonic Sizzlers and UGST - excelent Akula III My concern is the wired torpedoes that will be available for Russian subs. So far we have only: TEST-71 - short range and UGST - modern weapon. Is there any other option ? I am not a specialist. |

This is not a loud sub - at the level of the Sierra-2. At high speeds, even quieter than the Sierra-2.

How to make it or how to check single sub/surf? I can view object in editor but i don't know how to interpret information from database. For example LA Flt III have: LA Imp SSN 59 61 62 64 65 66 66 67 68 68 68 69 69 70 70 70 70 71 71 71 71 71 71 72 72 72 72 72 72 72 72 72 73 (from my old RA_Noise_chart - from 0 kts to 32 kts) but in editor it looks: LA FLT III: Passive sonar SL: 57 and Thrust: 0057 688(i) +16 By the way: 1) Shang class is very interesting sub - in my opinion good choice because chinese navy in DW have many surfs, subs nad other units. I did not to use yet this submarine because I did not make any mission with SHANG but i have some ideas for future. 2) Polish community love to play older platforms like: - all FLT of LA - all (RU) Kilo classes - Akula I and I imp - all Victor classes - all Sturgeon - Udaloy - Alfa - Perry - Il - 38 - S-3 Viking Most of them are typical Cold War platforms. We uses also modern platforms (but not too often) like: - Type 212 IT/DE - LADA - Bergamini Sometimes we play: - Harushio (very nice TA for SSK) - Trafalgar - Rubis/Amethyste Very unpopular platforms: - Seawolf - Virginia - Akula III - Trenchant I think new Mike class would be nice addition for Cold War OOB. 3) For me RA sill suffers from lack of surface ASW units. I know this task is much harder than adding new submarines and of coures i know that Udaloy/ Bergamnini are some kind of compromise. In other hand i think ASW frigates like british Type 21 (Broadsword class) are within reach for RA TEAM Keep up your great work. Because all of you (RA TEAM) DW is my favorite game all of time. Thank you RA TEAM |

Type 093 is quite modern sub.
We prefer older ones because DW have very old engine which not allows to implement modern ASW mechanics (like multistatic detection, advanced countermeasures, proper ECM and many, many other things). Also lack of modern units for AI or modernised versions of warships with newest sensors is problematic for playing too advanced platforms. Does your group sometimes want to play with us? We are often on Discord DWLD channel. |

TO: Pepe
There are 2 more points added to the cBaseNoise. Therefore, 59 value summaru are obtained. Such a profile gives a smaller increase in noise at high speeds - as you can see the interval 70-73 is very wide. That is, at high speeds, the noise is more-less constant. For surface ships, the formula for calculating the noise gain - is linear. For submarines, the noise is calculated according to the logarithmic formula. PS: Akula-III, Seawolf etc. For these platforms, simply large operational distances are needed. And accordingly - an equivalent opponent. It is clear that the Victors, not a rival for Seawolf. Knowledge - at what depth to launch a torpedo. That it emits the smallest noise, and thus - to take the enemy by surprise. This is a great art. One interesting document from my library
