Kilo Sonar Detection Ability
The Kilo sub sonar seems to be very good at picking up signal even from a far off distance, compared to the Akula.
Is that correct, in the sim as well as in real life? Also, is the Kilo better at avoiding detection compared to Akula (assuming both moving at 5 knots)? |

Yes, in real life diesel-electric subs are quieter than nuclear powered subs. It is good for sonars. |
I meant the Kilo passive sonar. Is it better able to detect faint signal from a further distance than the Akula?
