Except the textures i would say its more or less final. There are not many photos out there who shows many details.

thx for your great job regarding RA.

I have one request about RA 1.42.

Could you add as an option to loadout of Akula I and Akula I Improved a SS-N-27 SSM SIZZLER (NATO NAME)/ 3M-54E1 Club ASCM - SUBSONIC version

Player will have a choice to take subsonic or supersonic version of this weapon. This will help me and other scenario designers to balance somehow our multi mission.

Thanks a lot for understanding.

Without textures, it does not matter. Why are your screenshots painted?


There are many models of submarines that are in the public domain. But they are also without textures. For us, these models do not matter - because this is all a semi-finished product, not a ready-made model, which can be converted in J3D, for installation in DW.

bug

for TU142 weapon loadout,some bug as follow:

1:if the bombay full load of APR-3E. U cannot change the mode/floor setting!!!

2:if the bombay load of mixture of APR-3E and MPT-UE, you have to change the mode/floor setting for MPT-1UE first, then you can change that for APR-3E.

other issue:
1:during mission edit, if assign a AI-helo or AI-P3/TU142 a sonobouy search tactic. while in game they are not drop any sonobouy.

2:while fly tu142/p3, every sonobouy we drop, there's a channel number assigned to it. however if we drop more than 99 sonobouy, the system will assign a 3-digit channel to the sonobouy. so is it possible we can receive 3-digit channel number?

1. Torpedo preset - Has been fix
2. Sonobuoys Tactic - Aviation altitude should be low. Not more than 300 feet.
3. 99 Sonobuoys ? Do you really use this amount ?

And what is the distance you have between sonobuoy?

I understand that you are using set in the mission editor, sonobuoys field.
It is possible to make the area in which will fit 99 sonobuoys, with the same distance between them.

The size of the region - does not matter. Important - what is the distance between sonobuoy you have.

this small aera(40*80),two subs found, one more to go.
already 70+bouys, normally keep 15nm space between bouy. when found a enemy sub, I drop plenty dicass/type55......

if two players fly p3/tu142 together, channel number will reach 100+ easily....

I hope You will think about it Crazy_Ivan. It would be great things for improving balance of "Late Cold War" scenarios.

Reference from a very old descriptions to the SCX-2C great addon for SubCommand. It is quite true now:

One of the things that I see some of you guys talk about on the Sub Command forum, is the current configuration of certain Subs or Ships etc. Things like,
… “this Sub has been upgraded to” …, or “this Ship doesn’t have this anymore” … etc., etc., etc.. Currently, with the addition of SCX II to Sub Command, the timeframe covered by the simulation, spans 30 odd years. For obvious reasons, one being playability … one cannot always make specific platforms current, and totally up to date, in terms of Sensors now utilised, or loadouts now being carried. What I’ve tried to do, with many of the new, and existing platforms, is to configure them, .. with whatever Sensors, and Loadouts etc., that they had, for the longest period … since their commissioning. Of course, there have been some exceptions to this.

by the way, the P3 could not carry as many bouys as tu142, is it possible to increase the max load quatity?
or maybe we prefer the current way. tu142-more bouy-normal torpeto VS p3-less bouy-little advanced torepto.

this two source give different information about depth of bouy.
one from ingame interface. one from the RA-weapon-mannual.

pls verify witch one is correct.

The correct data is in the station window. Depths have been changed for version 1.42. You got a new DLL, in it it was indicated. But in the Database 1.41 - the depth is the same as in the right window.

The Tu-142 Bear allows you to take 200 sonobuoys in the total amount. 50 of external and 150 in the internal racks.

Akulas weapon downloads have been fixed. External tubes are now unavailable for charging - as these carry only countermeasures (Always loaded with MG-74 KORUND). The Akula-1 improved, Akula-2 and Akula-3: torpedoes 65-76 were removed, as the Russian fleet abandoned these weapons. Now only the Akula-1 has torpedoes 65-76 and a set of weapons as in the presented screenshots.
