Change to Models CPF Halifax

Greetings. The J3d model for the Halifax in RA 1.4 is incorrect and not the Halifax CPF. Is there any easy way to correct this? Can this be corrected using the DW Edit and if so how. Thanks.

This model came with mod SCX-2c for Sub Command game.
The other model we no have (more reliable).

For a complete similarity is necessary to draw a new model in 3D MAX editor, and convert to the format j3d, and install into the mod.

At the moment we have no such possibility.

Just a thought, would it not be possible to pull the Halifax J3d from LWAMI 3.11 and install overtop the J3d in the RA mod?

You can do this for yourself (need to change the coordinates of all the Halifax launchers in the database).

We do not use models of this add-on.

PS: modders of this add-on - not friendly to us. When some ago years they forced us to remove all of their models. After that - we do not use models from LWAMi.

In fact, I even has been banned forever on subsim forum.

Add-on Reinforce Alert is the same as that of the alleged change LWAMi - sensitivity sensors, distance curves detectability. A variety of sensors have weapons. At the database level - it does not actually inferior supplement LWAMi and even surpasses it.

In addition, the hard-coded error corrected - for example, in addition LWAMi subs do not get damaged by the collision with the ice, as the torpedoes and missiles - move through the icebergs.
High frequency sonar can not see some of the objects that are in the water.
DSRV - never not comeback to Sub Carrier this DSRV.
Cones active interception - getting a signal when it is directed in the opposite direction.
Or setting ROF (Rate Of Fire) - missile launch from the VLS launchers. In the original, the game can not be launched more than six missile per minute against Surface Target. (1 missile per 10 seconds).
And many other errors.

All this has been resolved at the program level in the game engine.

Besides - advanced doctrines simulate the behavior of real weapons.
For example, to torpedo APR-2 and MK48 ADCAP doctrine operates as close as possible to real weapons.

Using a helicopter at considerable distances away from the ship. In the original game (as well as LWAMi) helicopter operates at a distance of 20 miles, in RA, the helicopter operates at a distance of 50 miles. And has an advanced management system (different preset operate modes).


And many many others…

I was a dedicated Lwami user up until I found you guys early in 2011 and I've never looked back since then. Just two things if I could I would bring over but they are small details in comparison of the overall scope of Reinforce Alert, certainly with 1.40.

OK. since you're apparently asking.


1) I love their Virginia SSN model.


2) . . . and probably the most important to me is Lwami have included Project 885 Yasen (non playable) to the Russian Navy.


See? Nothing really major.


I had asked "JAF" about this a few years ago and I had heard something about weapons / game conflicting - maybe in the future, and since you gentlemen were kind enough to add Project 667 Navaga I kind of just dropped it. I'm aware we can't have everything but If I could, that's what I would port over.

Lwami also has some entity differences (Chinese subs) and that's what I meant by combining the two. Since the profile changes with 1.40 that's pretty well moot now. Here's the gist of it: I would only go back to Lwami at this point to hunt around for that Yasen SSN.

In all seriousness you folks have been on time and on target with the modding and improvements no one in the world can ever call you guys lazy, nice try. Through your hard work Reinforce Alert has kept alive a game that should have been forgotten about long ago. That Russian Voice mod is a prime example of what I'm talking about. If it all ended with 1.40 I for one would be happy and eternally grateful. Thanks for the effort.

Dear Crazy Ivan,

Thanks for a great Mod - I'm a massive fan of RA!

I'm a returning DW player - so it's great to play this 'modern' version of the game.

Would you please consider, in an update, replacing the Russian helm screen with the Seawolf Helm screen for all Western playables (Collins, French, German, Japanese, etc.)

All photos SSN 774 show that it has no red anticorrosion mastic on the hull.

Only drawings or models have invented red body color.

As I said starting out no stress, no worries Crazy Ivan. I have a playable Virginia class SSN (Unlike Lwami) so its nothing to get in a twist about. Thanks for the consideration none the less.
