Quick question:

Is there any possibility your towed array depth indicator can be added to the Los Angeles Class SSN's?

I'm feeling I already know the answer with the L.A's interface in mind, but thought It wouldn't hurt to ask. Apologies if this has been asked before.

You're right.
There are some differences. You can not get the depth Towed Array of the display 688.

As such high capacity HF sonars for 1.40 patch:

Class/ HF ShipControl Sonar/ IceThickenessSonar/

637 - -
637 Long + -
688 Flt-I + -
688 Flt-II - +
688 Flt-III + +

I suppose it would already be there if there was a way, right? Such a handy little tool is sorely missed in the old 688's. Thank you CrazyIvan for the consideration.

I wanted to report in that the crew and I have gotten some meaningful seat time with 1.40 and am liking, and effectively using the new setup now on par with the old way. I dare say it's easier than the previous method? For instance - using displacement - you can narrow down your target classification using that alone in most cases, third line just to confirm the suspicion. Key words: most cases. Easy to rule out subs, etc.

Having some minor difficulties deciphering the standard circular Akula display when saturated with tonals but should work those out with time, as before.

Will be lookout for this patch you speak of with interest and appreciate the efforts to further Reinforce Alert, boys. Kudos.

Dear Crazy Ivan,

I had a thought a while ago- I saw a documentary on the Trafalgar subs - and they place a machine-gun on the sail for transits through hostile straits that are too shallow to be dived.

I was wondering, is it possible to add to or replace the sub SAM with the machine gun from the Perry-Class Frigate gun station?

It'd be cool to fight off suicide attacks while exiting harbour!

Anyways, just an idea I had - keep up the cool mod, Sir!

Hi guys, thanks as always for your great job!

I'm back to DW after almost a year and, of course, directly installed RA.
Have I told you it works great under Linux? in case you like to know.

I have a question and I already know it's a PITA doing it, so I'd understand if the answer is "no" but, have you ever thought on doing a kind of mid-cold war version? Some of that can be made thanks to having Victor I's and Sturgeons and the like but it ends mostly on sub vs sub because most surface and air platforms are in their modern upgrades. For instance, US CVs have F18 and there are no Corsairs to "fake" them taking of from them... Maybe is just a "wet dream" of mine

On the other side, the original game has an error that your mode continues to have. It's not really important, just cosmetic but the "whale" model is actually a sperm whale; but the sound is the one of a "real" whale. Sperm whales don't sing... they made a variety of noises, but singing is not one of them. I know sonyalists wanted to make a "generic" whale and, as I said, it's not really important, just for the shake of realism.

Please, don't take this as a complain or something because it's not. Thanks to your mod I still play this game after so many years.

Yes, time ago to solve that sound problem you had to extract all the sounds in the .sfx file. This time it has worked to me without having to do that, just install and play.

Post Additional units for 212A Italy

Hello RA team,
thanks for usual great work!

Would like to notice that 212A Italy have two additional units: S528 Pietro Venuti and S529 Romeo Romei, already present in the sea.

Should be nice see them listed in the next release of your mod.

Hello, i m trying to play the ohio trilogy but i never get the confirmation message on the second mission for launching the slbm. I also have the same problem with the typhoon mission. I guess i miss somethink but i don't know what! Can someone pls help??? How am i connect with the satellite?

Approx at 05:30 you receive msg. to launch SLBMs.

Thank you very much for this great mod. I really enjoyed it. Just one thing doesn't seem to work right. The active intercept frequency is always 7500. Doesn't matter which surface ship is pinging you. Just wonder if that's some kind of bug.

Another bug. I was playing SC mission1 using SSN21 seawolf. As I go shallow and periscope depth, my submarine disappeared in the 3D window. You can still see it on 2D map, but 3D is just an empty patch of sea. I dove back down to 200 ft, but the submarine is still gone. Not sure if it's mission specific issue or SSN21 is bugged.

Got it. It works fine now. Btw, I saw on youtube, those SC missions have pre-mission narratives (background stories). My SC campaign just jumps into mission directly. There is no narrative, no stories.
