Hi Crazy Ivan,
my suggestion is that Akula I, should not have external tubes. So for a mission designer the new RA will give a variety of choice.
So in this case we could have:
- early version of Akula I - more silent than Victors
- better Akula I Improved - with external tubes and subsonic missiles
- good Akula II - with ultimate supersonic Sizzlers and UGST
- excelent Akula III
My concern is the wired torpedoes that will be available for Russian subs.
So far we have only:
TEST-71 - short range and UGST - modern weapon.
Is there any other option ? I am not a specialist.
