CTD with windows 10 new install and RA 1.40

Hello

I am getting CTD during mission loading with a steam clean install of DW 1.04 and RA 1.40. It's a new system with Windows 10 installed.

Sometimes I can get the missions to load properly but most of the time I get a CTD as soon as the mission loading bar has completed.

I had 1.4 running just fine with my older Windows 8.1 rig so I'm pretty sure I've installed properly.

Is there a log I can post to help? The only one I see is a .txt file called "wrapper" and in it are several lines that all say "Call failed 0x88760868"

Steam version of DW have different file structure, so RA is likely installed incorrectly.
Try to install CD version of DW + Patch v1.04 + RA.

I tried again with the Steam version and RA 1.40 this time running the program in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP 3 and now it works without crashing. I still get an occasional crash when I first try a custom mission but otherwise it's very stable. Maybe this will help others using Windows 10.

I believe it all had to do with my video card because I could get the lower resolutions to work fine but had to use the compatibility mode in windows to get the highest resolution.
